In Downtown Minneapolis the city experienced 14 millions of gushing water due to a busted sewer main! This 36 inch water main was laid in 1981, not uncommon for sewer pipes of Minneapolis to date this old, most of the cities cat-iron pipes were laid before the 1920s. A local contractor was installing a sewer line to link to the city’s sewer system during the construction of a retail development. The contractor bored through the line making the break 3ft in diameter and 6 ft in length. That following Friday and Monday two smaller main lines also broke, due to unrelated reasons. The City Of Minneapolis exclaimed the city encounters up to 40 main line breaks a year. This statistic is better than what similar cities deal with. Perma-liner says that is too many and we can help! With pipes that old, the structure of the pipe weakens; replacing pipes is costly and time consuming. Perma-Liner Sectional Main Lining System lines the existing pipe forming structural, permanent waterproof repair to seal all types of pipes against infiltration and exfiltration. Lining breaks form 6” to 54” in diameter and 2’ to 30’ in length. After the pipe is relined it’s then stronger than the pipe before and gives those older pipes 50+ more years of life. Helping municipalities all over the nation, Perma-Liner is recommended by mayors, City Administrators, Engineers, and even Director of Public Works.
